to help you get back to feeling like yourself
You can have a massage very soon after labour if you had a natural birth and didn’t experience any complications. It is more about when you feel up to it.
If you had a C-section we will wait at least 6 weeks, or until you have been signed off by your midwife/health visitor, to let things settle and heal.
A postnatal massage can really help and give your body and mind a break and a chance to rest and recharge. It can give you more energy, help you relax and unwind as well as taking care of sore, tired muscles. Caring for a newborn is hard and tiring! And then there are all the other things us women try and fit in to our lives and we often forget to look after ourselves. So let me look after YOU.
I am used to the chaos of a newborn so don’t worry about the state of your house, that you have baby vomit on your shoulder or the bags under your eyes. All I will see as I come for your appointment is a wonderful mum who is giving her beautiful baby everything she has.
Mothers’ group packages
Why not get a few of your mummy friends together for a couple of hours pampering! I do group sessions of at least 3 mums in the comfort of your own home. You can relax, and enjoy a well-deserved massage, in the knowledge that your baby is safe, with people you know, in an adjoining room. You each receive a 30 minute massage, but we’ll book plenty of time to allow for interruptions which often happen when babies are involved.
